Nature panorama of redwoods in Muir Woods, California


We were traveling along the California coast and stopped to visit Muir Woods on a misty March afternoon. It's really difficult to capture the majesty of these ancient giant redwoods on film. I found this view near the far end of the park boundary and took this view not so much for the size of the trees, but rather for the whole mood of the forest and stream.

This panorama was taken with a 20 mm lens so it seems like a short panorama but is actually a 180 degree wide panorama. The larger tree is about 4 - 5 feet in diamter - and you can't begin to photograph the top...
